Welcome to the IB Diploma Programme at Katedralskolan
“Diploma Programme students are well-rounded, multifaceted, multiskilled and have studied in depth. They have good time-management skills. They score higher than students in other national systems, and the IB score is worldwide the same measure.”
The International Baccalaureate (IB) offers four high-quality programmes of international education to a worldwide community of schools. The four programmes for students aged 3 to 19 help develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills required to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. On 5 January 2017, the programmes were being offered worldwide, across 4,583 schools.
At Katedralskolan, like many other schools in Sweden, the Diploma Programme is preceded with a preparatory year, PDP. In PDP the students will study courses applied to the two coming IB Diploma years.
International School of Lund (ISLK) at Katedralskolan has about 450 students.
The Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students aged 3 to 12 focuses on the development of the whole child in the classroom and in the world outside.
The Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students aged 11 to 16 provides a framework of academic challenge and life skills, achieved through embracing and transcending traditional school subjects.
