UN Day October 24th

United Nations International Day is when the whole ISLK community is involved and proud to be part of our diverse backgrounds and rich culture. It is planned to be held on 24 October 2019 at 15:00 to 17:30 in school.

Each country or groups of countries have the opportunity to present part of their own culture by dressing up, preparing food, handcrafts, organizing homeland games, etc. We will need country representatives for each country or group of countries, so if you are interested in becoming your country volunteer send email to: with your Name, Country and Contact,
and PTA will get you in contact with other volunteers from the same country or group of countries.

Next week, ISLK will participate, along with the municipality of Lund, in the European Mobility week.

This event connects well with what we care about at our school: good health and respect for the environment.

The theme for this year’s Mobility week is safe walking and cycling. “Active transport modes such as walking and

cycling are emission-free and help to keep our hearts and bodies healthy.”(
