Getting to, from and around Lund

Lund was founded at a crossroads, with the explicit aim of enabling it to rapidly become economically viable. The location turned out to be very favourable and, to this day, Lund has excellent communications in all directions.

Bikes. Fotograph: Lena Malmström Pålsson Lund is easy to reach, by bus, train or car. Malmö airport is only 30 minutes away by car and 40 minutes by bus. The Öresund Bridge, officially opened in July 1 2000, provides a direct link for cars and trains between Sweden and Denmark. It now only takes 45 minutes to get to Kastrup - Copenhagen's international airport - by train from Lund. The centre of Copenhagen is only another 10 minutes away.

But in Lund itself, the easiest way to get around is to walk or cycle.
