If for some reason you cannot come to the library, there are many services you can access from your own home.

• In the library catalogue you can:
• Search for books, cd's and more and even reserve them.
  
  
• You can check which books you have on loan (if no one else has reserved your books, you can renew your loan twice) and what you have reserved.
  
  
• You can add or change your e-mail address, block your library card and
  check if you have any debts. (To remove the block you have to come into the library and show identification).
  
  
• If you want to know if the libraries have any new media that you are interested in, you can sign up and be notified via e-mail.
  
  
• If the book you are looking for is not held in the Lund Public Library, you can
  order it from another library or suggest that the library adds it to the collection.
  

To be able to use all of these services, except for the catalogue, you must have a library card number and a PIN code available. You can also change your PIN code by yourself.
By filling in your information in advance, you can get a
library card faster. To obtain a library card for a child, you will need a guardian's signature on a form that is available at the library.

The library subscribes to a number of databases. As a library user at Lund Public Library, you can reach some of these from home:

• Alex, author biographies. Authors of all genres are there: classics, detective stories, fantasy and also literature for children and teenagers
• Ebsco MasterFILE Elite, an American database that contains articles from approximately 4,000 journals in English. There are 1,250 articles in full text (from 1990 and onwards), as well as 40 reference books in full text
• Global Grant is the world's largest international database about scholarships, funds and economic grants
• GreenFILE offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment, global warming, green building, pollution and so on  
• Novelist, about fiction with reviews, biographies, you can search books by subject, find similar titles and so on
